Indulge In A Food Adventure with Us
When waffles suddenly pops into mind, the one place that could satisfy that waffle craving would definitely be Inside Scoop which is located in the heart of Taipan USJ (picture below shows the shop's outdoor sign).

The informational board of its operational hours. Pretty reasonable because really, who eats dessert in the morning? (though, there are a few)

They offer to either have your ice cream in a cup (there's different sizes to choose from), cone, with waffle (that's the reason why most people are there for really) and lastly, pack it home, either one or three flavours. The pricing is pretty reasonable.

There are so many flavours to choose from, it's like heaven on earth! All ice creams made by Inside Scoop are mostly made with either imported and local flavours. The imported flavours are like Valrhona chocolate, Nutella, Japanese green tea, Peanut Butter and so much more. For the local flavours, they have Bandung (yes, like the drink), Durian, Teh Tarik, and many more. The flavours are usually rotated daily and you wouldn't really know what's in the next day and that's the fun of it. You'll get to taste different flavours.

Inside Scoop has like this amazing grass section where you can sit with your partner/group to have your ice cream and waffles. There's this cute "Shoe free zone" sign to remind customers to remove their shoes before entering the green section.

These are how they serve the yummy goodness on a plate. Doesn't this looks amazing?

Rating for Inside Scoop: 9/10 (you should definitely try it out)

Here are 2 of my favourite spots for Japanese curry rice. First, is a shop named Shokudo. It is located at the same row with Awesome Canteen and it has almost the same vibe but in Japanese style. They have about 14 different choices of Japanese rice platters ranging from options of pork slices, stir fried chicken, prawn, omelets or vegetables. As you can see the food are simple yet satisfying. They also have noodles like udon served in curry broth. Fit for anyone who was more in the mood of having noodles instead of rice. In terms of portion wise, it is just right and the meals fits for both to consumer during lunch or dinner. However i was pretty full after finishing the whole plate. Some of their meals are also available in set lunch and the drinks provided is on self-service basis. Ratings for this place is given 6/10.

Another spot serving Japanese curry rice would be Coco Ichibanya. It is a large Japanese curry rice chain in the world. One of their outlets in Malaysia can be found inside Damansara One Utama. The main attraction of this place is that it allows customers to customise their curry rice level of spiciness, ranging from level 1(medium hot) up to level 5 (crazy hot and i really really mean it) with the type of sauces used, different sort of toppings and rice quantity too. Somehow it looks like a pretty basic food with a sweet savoriness. Try going there with you friends and challenge them on the level of spiciness. You'll have the chance to watch them sweat continuously as they eat and it'll be quite an interesting moment of the day.
Rating for Coco Ichibanya: 7/10

Waking up in a beautiful morning and losing idea what to have for your breakfast? In Penang, there are some locals' favourite place for brunch or breakfast call "Ah Lai kopitiam - Under The Big Tree". They are very simple and operating under a big tree. Many locals and visitors are willing to queue up for the tasty and mouth-watering breakfast or brunch. Undeniably, their foods are worth to queue for it. Location of this cafe is at Church Street Ghaut, opposite an open-space car park along the road.

They are very famous of their Ice Coffee or you may also choose the Ice Coffee+Tea. Cold beverages are not recommended to take in the early morning or the first meal of the day. But this is the exception !! They taste so nice that it is hard to find one in KL city. Also, the price of this drinks is only RM 2 which is considered in the average range.

We always have instant noodles for our breakfast when we are young. Even now, we always have it when we are too busy with our work or studies. What's so special about instant noodle here? Yes! Cheese has eventually added into the noodles and make it tastier than ever. Except cheese, eggs and sausages are added as well. They just taste different! Price for this is just RM 5 !!

You may also try their toasts with or without eggs and together with the sausages. Their half boiled eggs are just nice on the buttered toasts which only costs you RM 3.60. It would be nicer if you added a dash of soya sauce and sprinkle on some pepper on it. Another type of bread is that they have the sausage, eggs, cheese and some tomatoes inside the bread. It tastes so good when you have them all together in your mouth. Yumss** Grab any chances to come and try it out. In case you are wondering, yes, it's just that simple and everyone could cook at home.

Eating clean is always the hardest to achieve. We are frequently tempted with all the delicious and diet-spoiler food we see in our daily lives. Worry not! Awesome Canteen is a cafe that serves Paleo food. A good choice for those who aims to eat healthy for a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet. Besides of the thought of eating a healthy meal at Awesome Canteen, they would also like to imply their customers to think of "delicious". You would also find several Japanese touches used in their dishes like the salmon sashimi which is a popular Paleo order or the Japanese curry baked rice.
Awesome Canteen also keeps it simple with old school furniture, portraying those olden days' canteen style with a laid-back and comfortable feel to it. They also have several antique equipment displayed to match with the theme of their shop.

First time in our lives, we had our first Paleo dish here, served by Awesome Canteen. We tried the chicken pasta, seafood pasta, Japanese curry rice and the Japanese fish set that came with soup, rice and fried tempura on the side. Frankly speaking, all of the dishes are good. Moreover, we were very full after finishing our plates. Besides the talks about being healthy, Awesome Canteen also serves some modern processed food like juicy gourmet burgers and sandwiches. The patties are made from freshly ground meat topped with melting Swiss cheese and french fries. Do try out their coffees from there too! Their baristas are also coffee junkies that can pull quite a decent shot of espresso or even hand-brew them. They also have several cakes displayed beside their cashier to pair perfectly
with the coffees. With a wide variety of cakes to pies and desserts too! One of us tried the flat white from them and she loved it.

Overall, there is certainly no doubt about this place. They do serve the best of both worlds. Good environment and a wide range of food choices to pick from. Ratings given to this place would be 8/10. Yay!

I came from Tawau, Sabah, which is located at the East Malaysia. I always wanted to go home whenever there is holidays. I miss my family so badly!! Who don't miss home when you are so far from home, right? And, now is the mid term break, without any hesitation, I bought the ticket to go back to my hometown and it took me 2 hours 45 minutes to reach my destination. I prayed so hard that the plane could land at Tawau airport as fast as possible as I couldn't wait to see my family and have family time with them! Also, I miss homely dishes and rice!!

I believe that everyone who is studying or working far away from their own home would miss their family and homely dishes very badly as they are full of family's love and free of charges !! Here, I'm gonna introduce my homely dishes to you all. There are steamed fish, prawn with ginger and rice wine made by mommy and some vegetables with egg. They are not dainties or any kinds of costly food but they are heavenly taste food for me !!

Every time before I came back, my mom always ask me what dishes I wanted to eat and she prepared everything and cooked for me when I'm back. I was feeling so touched that I promised myself I'm gonna be a better person and take good care of my family !! I love soup very much and my grandmom always prepare her ABC soup when we visit her during weekends. I really love my family so so much !! Words cant express nor describe how much I love them but actions will do !!

Also, I told my daddy I wanted to eat crab very badly. The next day after I came back, daddy brought us to the seafood restaurant which is near to the beach. This restaurant is well known for their seafood and many foreigner, even locals love to come here for it especially the seafood lovers. Here, we ordered sweet and sour crab, black pepper fish internal as well as salt and pepper Mantis shrimp!! Not forgetting to order some vegetables as well. They are really super nice and the price is reasonable for it !! So much grateful that I born in this family. Although they are not rich, but they gave me everything they have!! Chu mi Mommy!! Not sure whether you guys have heard about Padi House before, but here's one of the branches located at SetiaWalk, Puchong. There's one day I came here with my bunch of friend and it was my first time here! There's a lake beside and when the sky turned darker, it looked somehow quite romantic with different color of small light bulbs! One day, I'm gonna come again with my love one!

As for dinner, most of us has ordered pasta like pesto de pasta with grilled chicken and cheese baked seafood pasta which is highly recommended by the chief. Some of them also ordered Mexico beef tacos and Mongolian lamb cutlet. They said that the meat was very fresh and the doneness just fine. They are really so nice that I would recommend to friends around me! Price range is about RM 11-20 which is affordable and reasonable for everyone I guess.

Who don't love dessert? Who don't love cakes? If you are one of the cake lovers or dessert lovers, then I would recommend you this - cheese cake after your dinner. If you do not like cheese cake, there are other options for you to try as well such as Tiramisu cake, Oreo Cheesecake and Red Velvet! Now, after dessert time, we are heading to the bar which is just opposite Padi House for the happy hour for any kinds of beer!! Cheers!!

Here's one of KL's hidden cafe on Jalan Galloway, VCR provides pleasures for dinners of vintage styled cafe. The walls of this cafe are painted all black. Black as the black cat you see on the streets and black as the night's sky. This cafe used to be like the row of houses around it but it has been remodeled and retaining only several original charms like the  floorboards on the second floor and back stairs for staffs to use. The cafe has 2 floors. On the ground floor, it has many windows to allow as much of sun light to enter the cafe during the day and during the night it can be cozy-romantic. It allows customers to view the tempting cakes next to the place where customers comes in to place their orders as well as watching baristas chatter and work their skills behind bars. On the upper floor, the windows are wider and more spacious compared to the ground floor. It is a quieter environment upstairs enabling customers to be more focused on their work.

In terms of coffee, the baristas here are well-knowledge and passionate about their coffee. They are also willing to share their coffee knowledge with those who are interested.  Feel free to #askthebarista about anything and provide feedback too as it is encouraged. We were also treated a hand-brewed filter from the baristas working at VCR to display their skills on trying to achieve the best coffee and satisfying their customers. Their espresso machines are also one of the top-notch machines used for coffee that would bring about coffee aficionado stare. Along with their coffee, they also serve a variety of cakes, tarts and quiches. All of them looks so tempting. However, we picked one of their cakes that are to die for and it is famous among the loyal customers here. With the most indulgent being The King Cake, banana cake layered with peanut butter frosting, banana slices and chocolate. Moreover, they have just started serving food on their menu and to be honest, it tastes just as good as its coffee served.  Pricing here is very reasonable, especially for their quality on coffee and cakes. Reasons to visit here would be their opening hours are 8-11pm everyday (even on holidays, except public holidays), great coffee, their rooftop green patch that allows customers to sit and relax on and their famous The King cake. Ratings for this place is 8/10. Two thumbs UP!!

If you ever head down to Empire Damansara, you would find several types of intresting food offered to you. However after going there several times, there are only two things that it is a MUST to try! Are you a coffee drinker or should i say do you love coffee?  If your answer is Yes, Sevencups cafe would be the place to head to while you are at Empire Damansara . It is a small cafe with wooden tables, plastic chairs, the background and the the cashier counter is also beautifully designed in wood. A well blended cafe in terms of colour and style.

What's good at Sevencups? Firstly, i would give credits to their waffles. They have several types of waffle selections to choose from and some of their  ice cream used for their waffles are from one supplier known as FatBaby ice cream. They serve good ice creams just like Inside Scoop. Apart from that, they recently came up with a new item on the menu, that is the ice cream sandwich! It is amazingly delicious and another diet spoiler too! *Yumms* It is made up of creamy vanilla bean ice cream sandwiched between two house baked, chewy cornflakes marshmallow cookies and topped with sprinkles of baked sea salt cornflakes crunch!! Another suggestions for all coffee drinkers, do try out their hand brewed coffees or known as filter coffee drinks a part from their milk based coffee from the espresso machines. So far, they are the only cafe that imports beans mostly from Nylon Coffee Roaster, based in Singapore and also other guest beans from other countries. I love how they tend to change the blend of their coffee. This prevents loyal customers from getting bored of always drinking the same cup. Their beans never failed to impress coffee drinkers. Always a sweet and enjoyable cup. Don't forget to try out their cakes on the display too! We had brownies served with ice cream, lavender and hazelnut that also came with ice cream. Overall ratings for this place would be 8/10.

The next stop you should try out at Empire Damansara is Haraju Cube. It is a fun place to hang out with friends. The place is well known for its huge square toast with golden bread cubes inside, topped with different kinds of fillings from whip creams, flavoured ice cream, berries, mini waffles, Belgian chocolate and honeycomb. The bread rates well for its texture, taste and decoration but it is best shared with others. There also other smaller toast that are more on the savoury side made mostly for snacking with toppings like egg and mayo, ham and cheese, seafood or tuna dressings. For drinks, they have several flavoured specialty milk mixed with the cafe's own made butterscotch and caramel, matcha latte with a dollop of cream and drizzled with kuromitsu black honey. Their food and beverages price ranges around from rm8.90 to rm26.90. Overall ratings for this place is 7/10.

Craving for green tea or sushi? Okonomi is one of the best places to satisfy your green tea cravings. One of their famous green tea food on the menu is their unique matcha lava cake. Their molten is made from white chalet that tasted something like egg yolk. Along with matcha chocolate sticks, sprinkled with sugar, decorated with strawberry and vanilla ice cream at the side. We dig into the scrumptious looking green dessert by slicing open the lava cake. The molten flowed out smoothly and gently from the crack. Somehow everyone was excited to catch the 'opening ceremony' of slicing the lava cake and watch the molten flow. After the lava cake, it definitely made us all eager to try it out the next green tea item that is the matcha ice-cream. It looks simple but don't be fool by the plain looks.
All in all, their green tea quality and taste is definitely to die for. Moreover, their price range for matcha desserts and beverages is lower than Nana's green tea and they also serve sushi that is freshly made upon order. Customers are also allowed the choice to mix and match their sushi up to 40 varieties of fillings. Okonomi has only one outlet currently at Solaris Publika. One would be quite surprise by the clean design of a contemporary Japanese cafe, strategic location, really good food, cheerful ambiance and suitable price for Publika's crowd.
